The Games of the XXX Olympiad will be held in London from July 27 to August 12, 2012. The English city will be the first to host the modern Olympic Games three times (1908, 1948 and 2012). After the Games the Olympic Park will be constructed and will become the largest urban park created in Europe for over 150 years.

London: The stage is set and the athletes are primed as the seven-year countdown to the London 2012 Olympics reaches its finale with Friday's much-anticipated opening ceremony.
The three-hour spectacle, expected to be watched by a global television audience of up to one billion, will mark the beginning of 17 days of athletic endeavour which will create heroes, shatter dreams and fire national pride.
Malta
Today Malta Post issued a set of two stamps commemorating the 2012 London Olympic Games. The stamps, valued at ˆ0.37 and ˆ2.11, depict the 2012 Olympic Games logo and Wenlock, one of the Games' mascots.
The logo is a representation of the number 2012, with the Olympic Rings embedded within the zero. It was designed to have a flexible colour palate so as to enable corporate sponsors to integrate their own colours, but the standard hues are green, magenta, orange and blue.

The 30th Summer Olympics is bringing together nearly 10,500 athletes from over 200 countries, involving in 302 contents of 26 games, with the goal of building a peaceful and better world, through education for young people in sport irrespective of caste, rich and poor in the spirit of friendship and solidarity.
Vietnam sports delegation will participate in 10 sports competition in Olympic Games, such as weight lifting, gymnastics, fencing, taekwondo, swimming, athletics, badminton, shooting, etc.

These special multi-colour Olympic stamps by Slovenia show motifs of swimming, judo, sailing and basketball. The new Olympic stamps, with a nominal value of EUR 0.77 and 0.92, are as always printed in sheetlets of six stamps each. The left and right margins depict the Olympic rings, the logo of London 2012 and stamps of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia.
